St. Louis Rams and Downtown Lofts
Well it’s another Fall Sunday morning and preparation downtown is underway anticipating the large influx of NFL fans awaiting the start of the Rams vs. 49ers Game at the Edward Jones Dome. What connection does the St. Louis Rams and Downtown Lofts have in common? Well, for one, living in a downtown loft affords anyone the opportunity walk to the Dome to enjoy another NFL Sunday. All up and down Washington Avenue, residents stream to the Dome. Many set up tents, grills and furniture to enjoy pre-game tailgating. From the balcony of our loft we enjoy watching all the pre-game festivities. Often we will put on our Giants gear and join in the fun telling stories and bantering with both Rams and opponents fans.
Also, Rams games raise awareness of living downtown by mingling downtown lofts residents with those from out of town and those living elsewhere in our great city. It’s an opportunity to share the benefits of living downtown, clear up the stories that people hear about living in a loft downtown and make new friends. Heck, we’ve even brought new friends up to our loft so they can see how nice lofts in St. Louis are and to engage in great conversation with Rams fans.
Lastly, the local restaurants and bars are alive with various St. Louis Rams events and activities before, during and after all games. The revenue produced from those activities fuel the downtown economy by generating an increasing tax base which produces downtown improvement, new construction, tax credits for developers and most importantly, jobs.
The St. Louis Rams and downtown lofts are connected in numerous ways. Some obvious, others not so much. In the end, when the Rams are home playing at the Dome, local residents and fans from all over enjoy fun, festivities and each other. With each game they hopefully bring back the days of Kurt Warner, Isaac Holt, Marshall Faulk and the Greatest Show on Turf!
