2. Sugarfire Smoke House
Sugarfire Smoke House won the World Food Championships “Best Sandwich in the World”. With an accolade like that, they better bring it!!
This is a cafeteria style eatery and can get you in and out quickly. Aside from sandwiches, they offer great bbq, killer baby back ribs and burgers as well as an ample selection of local craft beers.
This restaurant is the quintessential St Louis BBQ experience so, if you’re in Downtown St Louis, this place is a must!
3. Broadway Oyster Bar
Broadway Oyster Bar has been a St Louis favorite for 40 years and they offer the best seafood in town. In fact, they once won the “Best Seafood” award by AOL City Guide as ‘City’s Best.’
They have also received other awards including the 2015 Missouri Restaurant Association Restaurant of the Year award.
This eatery has a NOLA vibe and serves up Canjun/Creole food all day. The outside seating is the best, weather permitting. Don’t let it scare you if it’s chilly though..they have heaters in the outdoor seating area. Snow? That’s another issue altogether!
4. Tucker’s Place
There aren’t many steakhouses downtown that are open for lunch AND have great ratings. Tucker’s Place has both! Their food prices are really reasonable. Filet for under $20? How is that possible??
They also offer up a wide selection of seafood, pork and appetizers if you’re not wanting to break the belly!
