The Versailles Condominiums

The Versailles was built between 1927-1929 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.

The building consists of 10 floors. The first two floors include modern lobbies and one condominium each. The remaining eight floors offer 45 residences.

The building was constructed in the tradition of European Renaissance, but the final detail showed anything but that. In fact their final design embodied the post WWI style of multi-unit high rise structures.

The architecture and construction of the building is credited to William H. Mills and Preston J. Bradshaw. Both were prominent in St. Louis construction at the time with Bradshaw being strongly identified with other significant buildings in the area. Namely, the Chase, The Mayfair Hotel and the Paul Brown building.

Today, the Versailles offers common laundry facilities, a doorman, and garage parking. Residents a nearby to Forest Park for outdoor activities and the arts and the annual Great Forest Park Race and Glow and close to the DeMun neighborhood with its restaurants and wine bars like Sasha's.

Versailles is a great building to call home.
