Moon Bros Carriage Lofts
Moon Brothers Carriage Lofts was built in 1885 as a manufacturing site for Moon Cars building buggies, wagons, and animal drawn carriages. The building is also significant in that it represents the only known Beinke design in downtown St. Louis.
The building retains integrity. The period of significance begins in 1887 (the date of design/construction)and extends to 1902(the date the Moon Brothers Carriage Co. left). Moon Brothers Carriage is a boutique loft building with only 43 residences. These homes are true loft-style with brick walls, open floorplans and timber wood ceilings. Many have balconies. Building amenities include a roof-top deck for residents and a dog run.
