Westgate Lofts

Originally built in 1914 for the Samuel Haas Trimmed Hat Company by Jacob M. Hirshstein, a famous St. Louis Architect, the property was designed as a 5-story Trapezoidal Commerical Style structure. It is now part of the National Register of Historic Places as of 2004.

The building renovated the first floor a few years later into an auto dealership for the Phillips Motor Company.

The longest term tenant in the building, for fifty-five year, was the Lowenbaum Manufacturing Company producing women's garments.

The building has changed names over the years from The Haas Building and Bertha Hat Company to what is known as today.

Westgate boasts a spacious rooftop deck with amazing views of the downtown skyline. Just blocks from the new MLS stadium, City Park, opened in 2023 and a short two minute drive to the brand new NGA West Headquarters, Westgate Lofts offer great location and easy access to interstates, 64/40, 44 and 70.
